ABOUT LON MAY MINISTRIES...
At
the age of twelve, Lon D. May was led to listen to a teaching
series by Kenneth E. Hagin on "How to be led by the Spirit
of God". Even at such a young age, he recognized the call
of God on his life. For years he closed himself in his room
listening for hours to these tapes over and over. While growing
up, he influenced his sisters about how important it was to
be dedicated to living by faith and constantly striving for
a closer more intimate relationship with Jesus. After being
healed of an incurable back injury in 1993, Lon emphasizes
that speaking the Word of God must be coupled with a life
of obedience to the scriptures in order to see the power of
God flowing in our lives.
He now shares life with his wife Rebekah, their daughter
Victoria and son David. They are members of New Life Cathedral
in St. Joseph, Missouri. Together they present a practical
way of applying God's Word for everyday life, helping people
to be all they can be in the Lord and fulfilling their destiny.
Lon and Rebekah were youth pastors for five years prior to
God calling them to travel. They now travel nation wide sharing
penetrating messages, assisting believers in growing up spiritually
and encouraging them in their legal right to exercise authority
in the earth today.
Kenneth E. Hagin was Lon's spiritual father until he went
home to be with the Lord in 2003. Lon May Ministries is submitted
to Dr. Ed Dufresne in Murrieta, California as headship over
the ministry.
Rebekah was born and raised in the small town of Altoona,
KS. Growing up as the eldest of four children, Rebekah had
a sense of leadership, perserverance and compassion instilled
at a very young age. Although having parents with an understanding
of Christianity but living a life of legalism and condemnation,
a normal childhood was out of the question. Being secluded
because of your clothes and beliefs, social acceptance was
very difficult. But, with perserverance and the Lord's mercy
and grace, she was delivered from many hurts and began a true
relationship of faith in God. On her journey of learning more
about her Savior, Rebekah went on her first mission trip to
Mexico. The spiritual growth she received from her mission
was more than she could have even wished for when she received
her baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Rebekah
was still learning of what the Lord had in store for her life
when she becomes pregnant at the age of sixteen with her daughter
Victoria, Rebekah, knowing the Lord had a plan and a purpose
for their lives, presses into the word of God and realizes
that all things are possible to them that believe. She graduates
high school and college with her degree as a Registered
Nurse.
In 2001, Rebekah married the love of her life, Lon May. Together
they bring forth a word of God that is full of Faith, Fire,
and Freedom. Understanding this new word reveals that we,
as believers, have a bigger part to play than just coming
to church every Sunday. Lon and Rebekah's ministry encourages
believers to grow spiritually in the knowledge of their legal
rights as heirs, sons of God, and the authority He has given
to us to use today!
Rebekah now has a strong women's ministry that focus' on
your destiny. She teaches women that God's destiny for their
lives is in their future and not their past. We are precious
in His eyes and He wants us to realize how much He loves us
now, no matter what yesterday held, or what tomorrow will
bring... He'll take you as you are today!
